The framework is designed to guarantee protection against potential threats posed by artificial intelligence, safeguarding the nation’s security.
Kamikamica mentioned that Fiji is leveraging its technology to develop its infrastructure and is open to seeking support from other nations if necessary.
From a cybersecurity perspective, we are in the process of developing a cybersecurity strategy for Fiji as well as a National Digital Strategy. AI governance will be an integral part of these initiatives.
Kamikamica notes that the government recognizes the sensitivity of AI technology and is actively working on releasing the framework in the near future.
