Telecom Fiji Boosts Internal Training Programs to Keep Top Talent

Telecom Fiji is leveraging its in-house training center to deliver necessary training to its employees. This was emphasized by Charles Goundar, the Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Fiji, who pointed out that one of the significant challenges the company faces is the migration of skilled staff, which impacts the company’s service capabilities.

Goundar explained that to address these challenges, the company is focused on providing relevant training from qualified instructors to encourage employees to remain in the country.

“We have a dedicated trainer, and we are continuously training individuals on various technologies that we utilize in-house. We believe this approach is the only way to close the gap and ensure our staff are adequately trained to work with the different technologies implemented within the company,” Goundar stated.

According to Goundar, Telecom Fiji is dedicated not only to offering employment opportunities to the community but also to taking responsibility for minimizing the risk of losing skilled personnel.

He also mentions that skilled employees are more capable of addressing customer needs effectively and delivering outstanding service, which in turn boosts customer satisfaction and fosters loyalty.
