Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica has announced that the Government is in the final stages of preparing Fiji’s National Digital Strategy.
Speaking recently at the Fiji Tech Summit in Nadi, Mr Kamikamica described the initiative as a comprehensive five-year blueprint for the country’s digital future, with plans to launch it by the end of the year.
“As we work to transform Fiji into a digitally empowered economy, where technology becomes a key driver of economic growth and development, it is vital that we pursue this transformation in a sustainable and strategic way,” he stated.
He added, “To achieve this, we are in the process of finalising Fiji’s National Digital Strategy, a detailed five-year plan for the nation’s digital future, which we aim to unveil by the end of the year.”
The National Digital Strategy aims to establish a unified pathway for strengthening digital infrastructure and cyber resilience, driving digital inclusion and empowerment, encouraging innovation-led economic growth, advancing smart governance and digital public services, promoting sustainable development, and enhancing global digital collaboration.
