TechInPacific – The MiBank Agent has launched their service last week to the following areas: Vagiput, Yanget, and Wereman villages.
The presence of MiBank Agent in the villages aims to unlock the challenges of depositing residents’ money efficiently and securely.
Before the launch, residents have to travel far to Pagwi Station due to theft accidents along the highway.
Now residents can have their bank account by registering for one in MiBank Agent. They can deposit money and top up airtime.
The villagers working as farmers, who often struggle to make income from their cocoa and vanilla produce, have improved their finances with the Streit PNG project. The project is widening the farmers’ access to markets and increasing the production and processing of the products.
