TechInPacific – The National Bank of Vanuatu (NBV) has added a new feature for students’ parents in its IsiMobile app.

Available in android and downloadable via Playstore, the app allows parents and guardians to send school tuition directly to 470 registered schools at the bank.

The Digital Transformation Manager of NBV, Oliver Joshua, states that the feature is an exclusive offer for parents with no time to get to banks or families living remotely far from the closest branch.

The level of school education included in the app ranges from primary school, secondary school, to tertiary institutions such as Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT) and the University of the South Pacific’s Emalus campus.

“Parents can access the school’s account via the app to proceed with payments,” Joshua explains.

“Parents and guardians need to insert students’ names and school term payments. We want our customers across the board to get notified of the opportunity to avoid costly exercises. It is accessible for parents overseas as well.”

New updates and development will be notified via the app, Joshua adds.
