A global association for mobile operators with over 800 members worldwide, GSMA, has just announced the 3rd cohort of 11 new startups to join its program called Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund portfolio. The program is supported by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the Australian Government, the GSMA and members. Additionally, the members of GSMA will offer grants for selected projects from the selected startups.
Among the 11 selected startups from 23 different countries worldwide, two startups are from the Pacific region. One of the startups is PNGhometask.com of Pacific Ads Group from Papua New Guinea. The startup was founded by Australians: Fredrik Orrenius and Axel Peyriere and Papua New Guineans: Nancy Lai and Andrew Runawery.
