Divine Word University (DWU) in Madang recently hosted a three-day seminar dedicated to data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in business. This event was organized in collaboration with Handong Global University from South Korea.
Led by professors and students from the South Korean institution, the seminar covered a variety of topics including advanced Excel applications, microlearning, Dart programming, and AI applications in business. DWU President, Professor Fr. Philip Gibbs, praised the seminar’s success, highlighting its innovative and engaging content. “Both staff and students found the seminar’s topics new, interesting, and enjoyable,” he remarked.
The seminar aimed to bolster participants’ competencies in data analytics and AI, essential skills in today’s business landscape. It was crafted to enhance attendees’ career prospects and maintain their competitiveness in the job market.
Dr. Martin Daniel, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Informatics at DWU, conveyed his gratitude for the cooperative efforts with Handong Global University. He urged both staff and students to leverage the insights acquired and implement them in their academic and professional endeavors. “With the business and technology sectors evolving swiftly, it’s crucial that we remain informed about these changes,” Dr. Daniel emphasized.
