Vodafone PNG Users Get MiBank USSD Banking

MICROBANK (MiBank) Limited, based in Papua New Guinea, has significantly improved access to digital banking by launching its MiBank USSD mobile banking services on the Vodafone PNG network. This pivotal partnership allows Vodafone customers in PNG to sign up for and use MiBank’s banking services easily from their mobile devices via the MiBank mobile banking USSD platform.

Patrick Wakeri, the Business Relationship Manager at Vodafone, emphasized the ease of use for MiBank customers by saying, “After signing up, MiBank users only need to press *678# to carry out different banking operations on their mobile phones via the Vodafone network.” This simplified method is set to transform mobile banking for Vodafone users, enabling them to manage various financial transactions effortlessly.

Wakeri highlighted the collaborative effort’s inclusive aspect, emphasizing its importance in offering Vodafone customers essential banking services, regardless of their geographical location or distance from conventional banking facilities. The deployment of USSD advantages through this alliance signifies a notable advancement in creating a more accessible and inclusive digital banking landscape for Vodafone subscribers in Papua New Guinea.
